Experience

I have been tutoring for the past two years, and a half after 10 years of formal Spanish, and ESOL teaching at K-12, and College Level. I have been tutoring for kids, teenagers, and adults not only English for Non-English Speakers (Doctors visiting UNC as researchers from outside USA), but also Spanish Language, Graduate Spanish Writing (Ph D graduates), Culture, and Spanish Literature to students from UNC, and Duke University. I also tutored Spanish to students at Duke during my tenure as a Lecturing Fellow at Duke University (Romance Studies Department). I am currently teaching Reading, and Math to 2nd graders, and Middle School pupils, and Spanish to independent adult students, and High School students.

Hobbies

I am a avid hiker, love cultural differences, and I am used to handle the so-called culture shock. I lived in many places inside, and outside of the United States, and consider myself a balanced, well-rounded person with a passion for this sometimes undervalued profession of being a teacher. I LOVE TO TEACH!!! I enjoy art in all its forms, and I am a creator of Art (a writer, and a Mixed-Media unconvencional artist). I have been labelled as "gifted" for languages, and humanities in general, but I simply think of myself as a highly passionate individual. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, and taking pictures of people, and places, of all that catches my eye. I have not lost the curiosity of a kid, and feel that we have much to learn from them.
