I've tutored children from ages 4-16 over the past 8 years on and off. I have even done some tutoring for college students from DTCC for Writing, English, and Math. I want to be a tutor because I love to help other students learn and succeed. As someone who has taken 15 AP Courses in high school and now a college senior at UNC I am very familiar with the course content. Here is some of my current work experience and accomplishments in the past 2 years. [8/19/14-Present] Weaver Street Market (919)929-0010 Carrboro, NC • Non-Profit Food Campaign Coordinator, Wellness and Customer Service Associate • Organizing Food Campaigns in Carrboro/Chapel Hill area, communicating with Non-Profit Organizations, managing and coordinating Events, managing employees, handling financial transactions, ordering and stocking product, communicating with representatives and distributors, keeping up with DISHEA Laws and any federal rulings for natural or organic products. • Supervisors: Brenda Camp, Norma Lazaro, Paul Nash Porch Food Campaign • Purpose to help feed hungry children and refugees from Burma by raising money for fresh produce and other healthy foods. • March 2016- Raised $18,000 (Weaver Street Market Carrboro) Table Food Campaign • Purpose: To help feed healthy meals to hungry children who receive free or reduced lunch during the school year, but do not receive those meals over the summer. • May 2016- Raised $20,000 (Weaver Street Market Carrboro)

Hobbies
To be honest, I have many hobbies and interests because Iove to constantly learn and take up new skills! Here are several of my hobbies and interests: writing (novels and poetry), reading (any subject really, favorite genres: Sci-fi, fantasy, fiction, non-fiction and history), music (Played upright Bass with UNC Symphony for 3 years), marital arts (Pa-Kua, sub-set of Chinese Kung Fu), crafts, and play video games. However, out of all of these interests, my favorite thing in the world is to spend time with my 4-year-old son Silas who I taught to read at age 2. He is now an avid reader.
