Experience
Teach a section of Introduction to Linguistics at UNC, have also tutored for the Spanish department and assisted in grading for the Spanish grammar course. I also taught ESL in Spain for a semester. SAT scores: Reading: 780, Math: 680, Writing: 660 GRE scores: Verbal: 165, Quantitative: 156, Writing: 4.5 I want to be a tutor because I find it fulfilling to teach students about subjects that I study. Since most of my experience comes from students desperate to pass the core course of the Spanish major at UNC I am familiar with people who want to do more in a subject, but just have something blocking their progress. Getting students to realize their potential is very rewarding.
