I have just completed my Masters in the Arts of Teaching at Montclair State University in New Jersey. I am licensed to teach Elementary School K-6 and students with disabilities. I completed my undergraduate degree in Portuguese and Spanish at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.
Experience
My experience in education started when I began working as a teacher's assistant in a school for students with disabilities. During my employment at the school I served as a one-on-one aide and as a floater. I experienced students with all kinds of disabilities including cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and physical. During my Master's degree I completed my student teaching clinical in an elementary school where I took upon the tasks of a resource teacher in both pull out and inclusion settings. During this experience I was able to work with students in small group settings as well as plan and provide instruction in a regular education classroom setting.
