Have tutored college level (and AP) chemistry and biology many times. Also spent one year tutoring elementary school students once every week, and have tutored Math and Chinese to high school students in preparation for SAT and SAT subject tests. Previously taught math and science at a local public school on Saturdays. Also worked as a Summer Camp Counselor and after school tutor for two years in North Carolina. SAT Math II Score: 760 ACT Score: 33 I enjoy working to help students understand new and foreign concepts; explaining things in a way that makes sense to students struggling in a given subject is a great passion of mine. Classes taken: High school - In my 7th year of Mandarin Chinese. AP Calculus (AB), AP Physics B, AP Chemistry. Completed degree in Biology of Global Health at Georgetown University. Current MD candidate at UNC. Spent two summers studying abroad in China. Spent one summer doing genetic research in Shanghai.

Hobbies
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy a wide variety of sports, including tennis, soccer and basketball. Though my tutoring capabilities are mainly within Chinese, Math and Science, I am well-equipped to work with students on essays and humanities or writing homework. I am very patient with struggling students and consider myself a very persistent tutor.
