I have a Bachelor's Degree in Language Arts Education (7-12 grade) from Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. I graduated in 2013 with a 3.5 GPA. I am currently licensed in the state of North Carolina to teach English/Language Arts to grades 6-12.
Experience
I have three years of experience as an English teacher: I've taught one year each in 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade English, and two years of 8th grade English. I also tutored an elementary student during two school years with English language learning needs and study skills/organization. I scored very highly on the SAT and ACT tests during high school, and, as I reached the end of my college career, earned a 187 out of possible 200 on the Praxis II Principles of Learning and Teaching Exam, as well as an Excellent-ranked 192 out of possible 200 on my English Language, Literature, and Composition Exam. I know what I'm talking about, and I am good at taking tests on it! I want to share my knowledge with students in a way that allows us to have one-on-one discussions and make greater progress than in a classroom setting.
