The Russian language is not easy, but I enjoy the challenge of helping students learn it and become comfortable using it. I employ a variety of colloquial speech exercises, like role playing and dialogues to make this happen. I am also aware that students have a variety of individual learning styles. I make it a priority to discover each student's style and tailor my approach accordingly.I am a native of St. Petersburg, Russia, and a graduate of St. Petersburg State University. I received my bachelor's degree in Russian Language and Literature and also earned a doctorate in Russian Philology. I very much enjoy teaching Russian and have around 10 years of experience teaching all levels of students, individually, in classrooms, and online. I also teach Russian Culture and Literature.In my spare time, I enjoy reading books about history and folklore. I also like reading detective and science fiction stories, and photographing North Carolina's beautiful landscapes and animal life.
