My background includes working as a reading teacher for 12 years in the Orange County school district. During that time, and in the years since, I have worked with numerous students as a private tutor. Part of what fuels my passion for literacy instruction is getting to know students (through formal and informal assessments), identifying their strengths, interests, and areas of struggle, and devising engaging lesson plans that allow students to utilize their strengths while addressing their areas of need.
